Creating Videos For YouTube With Windows Maker
Earlier I took an academic look at choosing the best bitrate for creating YouTube videos.
I was planning to create a tutorial about Windows Movie Maker and then I decided to try to create
a video tutorial. This was my first attempt at a video tutorial but I think it covers the basics pretty well.
The more I use Windows Movie Maker the more powerful I realize it is. It’s awesome for making movies for posting on the web. However when it comes to creating DVD’s it not the best choice. Most of the output choices in Windows Movie Maker are WMV. There is a setting to export to DV but it is a type 1 AVI. All of my encoders handle type1 fine but some people report they have problems in their DVD authoring programs.
In case you’re wondering I created the above tutorial in Camtasia and then edited in Vegas Studio.

Dude, I need some help.
Followed your video with my daughter to make a video for youtube. Multiple clips with a song added from audio file. KILLER VIDEO! Hit -Save Movie File- follow your instructions from the video and the “project” will not save.
File less than 20mb, original source files never moved or played with, I try to save to which ever file location the WMM defaults to. Won’t save.
My daughter is driving Me Freakin’ NUTTS! I need help. Love your stuff.
